New Study on Latina Teen Parents

A recent collaborative study found that Latina teen mothers' sleep is closely linked with their depressive symptoms. Interestingly, social support from their peers (but not their family) was found to buffer this effect. The findigns suggest that even if a Latina teen mother has difficulty sleeping, having a supportive peer social group can help to decreae their risk for depression.
